Hog brushes are one of the most widely used brushes for oil painting. The hog brushes have bristles which allow artists to paint with oil colours which is a much thicker paint. Oil paint can also be applied with a pallet knife straight from the tube.

These round artist paint brushes are made with pure Chinese hog bristles. These brushes are suitable for oil painting but can be used by artists for acrylic painting as well. The grade hog hair is a high grade bristle giving good spring, shape and control. These brushes have seamless ferrules and long wooden handles.
